In January, Cre8tive Group invited filmmaker Peter Hutchens to present at the Be Inspiring… 2009 Event. Among his works, Hutchens shared clips from the film War Dance, an Academy Award-nominated documentary for which he was a cinematographer.  In this documentary students from war-torn northern Uganda compete for the first time in the national music competition.

This Thursday, friends of Cre8tive Group, Global Gain is hosting War Dance Director & Writer, Sean Fine and one of the students featured in the film, Dominic Akena, an escaped child soldier and xylophone player. They will be discussing:

• How one can make a living making a difference
• The making of their extraordinary film
• How to think globally and act locally
  

The event, Lexington's First Social Innovation Forum will be held at the Old Tarr Distillery, 899 Manchester St., Lexington, KY at 6:00 PM on March 26.
